Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021
In this article, we are going to cover the Donald Parham fantasy outlook for 2021. We will share where we think he will rank amongst all tight ends in 2021. Should you buy, hold or sell? Will Donald Parham be more or less valuable in 2022? Do we think he is going to be a league winner, weekly starter, flex play, spot starter, dark horse or dart throw? Included is all of this as well as personal opinions of the 11 people that participated from the RotoHeat staff.
Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021: What Is His Weekly Playability?
All of the team thought that he would either be a dart throw or a darkhorse for 2021. With Jared Cook ahead of him, his familiarity with the offensive coordinator, and taking a rookie in the draft this year (Tre’ McKitty), most did not feel that Parham will have a big role for the Chargers.
Dart Throw: 8
The three that had him as a darkhorse liked what he showed last year (10 for 159 and 3 TDs in 13 games) in the NFL after earlier playing in the XFL. Many noted that if Cook were to go down, Parham would have a great shot at weekly relevance. Barring that, he is likely not playable in most leagues.
Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021: More, Same or Less Valuable in 2022 Dynasty Offseason?
Only three of the 13 felt that Donald’s value will be lower going into next year. He is currently TE51 in FantasyPros PPR Draft Positional ADP and is going undrafted in RotoHeat SF Dynasty Positional ADP. Jared Cook is on a one-year deal and is 34 years old this year. Tre’ is a third round rookie more known for his blocking (he had 56 receptions in four years in college).
A few people said things like “2022 is the season I really want him on my roster, so I will buy now while his value is low.” Overall, we feel he has a good shot for more relevance next year and beyond.
Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021: Buy, Sell or Hold?
All but one of the 11 are buying or holding Donald Parham currently given the options. One of the buyers said “Buy now and wait a year while he learns behind Cook. Tight ends normally take a couple years to develop.” The holders felt similar, with one of them saying almost the exact same thing “2022 may be Parham’s year. This year he gets to learn from Jared Cook and grow a bit more.”
Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Tight Ends?
Of the team, only one person had him in the TE19-24 range, and nine of us had him at TE32 or lower. You can see then that the general view is that he will not have weekly TE relevance this year barring a Jared Cook injury.
High: TE 19
Low: TE 49+
One member said “Parham could be a TD guy, but that just doesn’t hold up in a full fantasy season. He is a hold until we see what we have, but he doesn’t project to start at all unless you’re hurting” and that is a good summation of what the group as a whole felt.
Donald Parham Fantasy Outlook 2021: Conclusion
The RotoHeat team does not foresee a lot of fantasy football use for Donald Parham this year, but we are bullish on him in 2022 and beyond. He is currently not even a TE4 in nearly any rankings, so if you believe in him and want more shares they should be pretty easy to come by at a low cost.
