2021 NFL Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Linebackers

2021 NFL Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire Adds 4

Alex Singleton, Linebacker, Philadelphia Eagles
Ownership: Sleeper 2%, Yahoo 14%

Linebacker roulette continues for the Eagles so there is a chance to be burned here. That said Alex is back to a 93% snap share over the past three weeks and 15 solos, 11 assists, 3 TFL, and 1 PD. Week 15 brings Washington, who give up the 8th most points to opposing linebackers. The Giants in Week 16 are 17th in points allowed, and he faces Washington again in Week 17 so it is a decent stretch run here for him.

Preston Smith, Linebacker, Green Bay Packers
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 1%

With a 74% snap share in the 11 games he has not left due to injuries (Week 5 he left early and he did not play Week 6, with Week 13 being their bye) Preston is one of the main edge rushers for the Packers. Over the past four games he has had 10 solos, 4 assists, 4 TFL, 5 sack, 1 PD, 1 forced fumble and 1 recovered fumble. Their Week 15 opponent, the Baltimore Ravens are second in points given up to opposing linebackers and have given up the most sacks this year.

Josh Woods, Linebacker, Detroit Lions
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%

With Jalen Reeves-Maybin out the past tw weeks and Alex Anzalone leaving the game last week, Woods has the two highest snap counts of the season with 57% and 94%. Each week Woods had a higher snap count than rookie Derrick Barnes, and Woods has compiled 16 solos, 5 assists, and 2 TFL. Keep an eye on the injury report, but with what he has shown in his limited playing time Woods would (yes the word play is on purpose) be a worth a start. Be aware though, the Lions’ Week 15 opponent, the Cardinals, are only 20th in points allowed to opposing linebackers, so it isn’t a great matchup

2021 NFL Week 18 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Backs
2021 NFL Week 18 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Backs – Khari Willis

Grant Delpit, Safety, Cleveland Browns
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 1%

This is a contingent play, so pay attention to Ronnie Harrison’s health. Delpit only gets near 100% snap share when Harrison is out. He did that in Week 4 (97%, Harrison was ejected from the game and Delpit ended with 3 assisted tackles. In Week 14 against Baltimore Harrison was out and Delpit had a 100% snap share, and ended with 11 solos. The Browns face the Raiders in Week 15, and the Raiders are 11th in points allowed to opposing safetys so the matchup is decent if Delpit starts.

Khari Willis, Safety, Indianapolis Colts
Ownership: Sleeper 1%, Yahoo 4%

When healthy Khari has a 99% snap share on the year. Unfortunately he has only really been fully healthy for five games this year. He has at least 3 solos and 5 combined tackles in each of those games and the Colts play the Patriots in Week 15. The Patriots are second in points allowed to opposing safetys. Willis has rest of the season value as long as he is healthy.

Michael Davis, Cornerback, Los Angeles Chargers
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 4%

Davis has a 97% snap share in weeks that he played and was not hurt. In those 10 games he has at least 3 solos in all but seven of them (along with other stats like an assist, TFL, etc). Week 15 brings the Chiefs, who give up the third most points to opposing cornerbacks this year. In Week 2 against the Chiefs he has 2 solos and 2 fumble recoveries.

2021 NFL Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Linemen

2021 NFL Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Linemen
2021 NFL Week 15 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Linemen – Dawuane Smoot

Dawuane Smoot, Defensive End, Jacksonville Jaguars
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%

With a 61% snap share on the year, Smoot is second on the team in defensive end snaps behind Josh Allen. Smoot has been boom or bust this year, with six games of two combined tackles or fewer. He also has five games with at least one tackle for a loss or sack, so the matchup has to be right. Week 15 brings a favorable matchup with Houston giving up the third most points to opposing defensive ends. The Jets in Week 16 and the Patriots in Week 17 are also top half of the league matchups, if you need him in a pinch in the next few weeks.

Josh Sweat, Defensive End, Philadephia Eagles
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 2%

Playing in every game the Eagles have had this year, Josh has a 63% snap share, just behind Derek Barnett’s 69%. A very boom or bust player that does not get high tackle counts, Josh has six decent to good games this year. The other seven he has two or fewer combined tackles. The good news is that in Week 15 the Eagles face Washington, who has a contintually banged-up offensive line and give up fourth most points to opposing defensive ends.

Montravius Adams, Defensive Tackle, Pittsburgh Steelers
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%

A deep, deep pick here. In two games with the Steelers (Week 13 and Week 14) Adams has a 51.5% snap share and 2 solos, 2 assists, 1 TFL, and 1 PD. These are not huge numbers clearly, but they are ok. The reason we are looking at him is that Pittsburgh plays Tennessee in Week 15 and the Titans give up the most points to opposing defensive tackles this year.
