Zach Charbonnet had an impressive high school football career as a running back for Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, California. He rushed for 2,049 yards and 23 touchdowns in his senior year alone, leading his team to a 12-2 record and a trip to the CIF Southern Section Division 2 championship game. He was named the CIF Southern Section Division 2 Offensive Player of the Year and was a finalist for the Gatorade California Player of the Year award. Charbonnet’s talent on the field caught the attention of several college football programs, and he ultimately decided to play for the University of Michigan.
