Week 10 Waiver Wire adds for Fantasy Football 2022

Phew! The first of two bye weeks with 6 teams on a bye is over. That leaves just Week 14, which is going to be incredibly important as it is the last week of the fantasy football regular season in most leagues. But let us not get ahead of ourselves. First, we have to dive into the players you should be looking for on the Week 10 waiver wire. We have some speculative adds on there, for those who are already in a good position to make the playoffs, and then we have some players who should be able to help your team right away if you are in a pinch due to bye-weeks or injuries.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Adds – Quarterbacks

Some of the QBs on this list keep showing up week after week. There is a reason for that. They keep producing decent fantasy numbers, or in some cases, gaudy fantasy numbers. One possible QB to add this week, if you need help or your QB just is not producing as you had hoped (I’m looking at you Russell Wilson), is Marcus Mariota. He put up his second-worst fantasy performance of the season in Week 9 but fear not. In Week 10, Mariota is going against the Panthers, who he just torched for over 30 fantasy points in Week 8.

If your team is in a good position and you have a bench spot that you can afford to “waste”, then look at your waiver wire and see if Deshaun Watson is available. He will not be able to return to the field until Week 13, but if he has been keeping in shape, and looks anything like the Deshaun Watson we have seen in previous seasons, he could end up being a league-winner for fantasy.

As the last QB on the list, we have the guy who is on everybody’s mind this week. Justin Fields went OFF in Week 9. We have seen a steady increase in his performances as of late, and that culminated with the single-highest fantasy performance of the season from ANY quarterback. You need to go and grab Fields right now, because if these last 3 weeks have been any indication, Fields is finally putting it all together and filling the stat sheet in a big way.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Adds – Running Backs

We start off the running backs with someone who is entirely a speculative stash for deep leagues. That is Kylin Hill. Aaron Jones came out of Sunday’s game against the Lions with a slight ankle injury. Early indications are that Jones will be able to play in Week 10, however, if he is not or ends up aggravating the injury, Kylin Hill might see some action soon.

Keeping with the speculative waiver adds Zack Moss is next in line. We saw Deon Jackson struggle against the Patriots in Week 9 when he was filling in for the injured Jonathan Taylor. Granted, we have no idea what new Colts head coach Jeff Saturday is going to do with the Colts’ backfields behind JT. It might just be that Zack Moss is going to get the nod as the backup, giving him some touches on a weekly basis.

Two other stashes that could see action later down the road are Kyren Williams and Isaiah Spiller. Both are rookies, so we do not really know what to expect here. The Rams continue to struggle in the running game, and that might just be Kyren’s chance if he can win the job from Akers or Henderson when he is healthy again. As for Spiller, it finally looks like the Chargers are ready to trust him a bit more and slowly work him in. He could very well be the primary handcuff to Austin Ekeler, should he get injured and miss time.

With the speculative deep league players out of the way, it is time to look at a few running backs that can provide more immediate help to fantasy lineups. The first one is Rachaad White. The Buccaneers have been atrocious at running the football this season, and as a result, the Bucs are trying to work White more and more into the rotation with Leonard Fournette. On top, the latest reports are that White could be given the lead role from Week 10. If you miss out on White, another option is Kenyan Drake, but he is not going to provide any points in Week 10 as the Ravens are on a bye. Instead, you should be looking to Jeff Wilson if you need help this upcoming weekend. Wilson out-touched Raheem Mostert 12 to 9 in touches and was clearly favored on passing downs. He was also more efficient on the ground.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Adds – Wide Receivers

Throughout the season, we have heard very little about this player, mainly because he has been injured and without a team since the end of last season. You probably guessed that we are referring to Odell Beckham Jr. The talented wide receiver finally seems poised to be cleared by the end of this week and could soon find himself on an NFL roster. OBJ has proven he can help a team, and he could be an immediate fantasy producer if he lands in the right situation.

Beyond OBJ, we have another first-rounder on the list of Week 10 Waiver Wire adds. That is Jahan Dotson of the Commanders. Dotson was a touchdown machine early in the season but has since suffered injuries and missed time. When Dotson makes his way back onto the field, he should re-emerge as a somewhat solid producer for fantasy and should be rostered.

Another receiver that could soon make his way back from injury is OBJs former teammate at LSU, Jarvis Landry. Landry has missed 5 games but could be a bit of a target hog once back as the Saints’ pass offense clearly needs someone to take the coverage away from Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara.

Terrace Marshall has been an afterthought for most of his NFL career after he entered the league in 2021. It does, however, seem that Marshall is finally starting to emerge as an option in the Panthers’ passing game after the trades of McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson. He is averaging 6 targets per game over his last 3 games, and as such, could provide bye week relief.

Week 10 Waiver Wire Adds – Tight End

We have made it all the way to the tight ends of this Week 10 waiver article. First on the list is the primary beneficiary from fireworks that Justin Fields provided this week. Cole Kmet scored 2 touchdowns in Week 9, and he should remain the favorite redzone target for Fields.

With Mark Andrews missing Week 9, it is time for Isaiah Likely to step up. He did in Week 10, by scoring a touchdown. The Ravens are on bye in Week 10, which could pave the way for Andrews to recover before Week 11.

If you miss out on Kmet and are looking for a tight end to help you straight away, look no further than Cade Otton. Otton has won the trust of Tom Brady and is providing good yards after the catch, catching just three balls, but providing 53 yards and a touchdown on those catches in Week 9.

There you have it. 17 players you can look for on the Week 10 waiver wire to help you win your fantasy matchups the next few weeks. RotoHeat will return with another waiver article next week, so stay tuned!
