Don’t Panic and Win the ‘Ship! Week 1 of Waivers, Starts/Sits, and Trades

Join Shane Barrett for his weekly show covering waivers, starts/sits, and trades! The moves you need to win your league! This week Shane is joined by Eric Romoff, co-founder of Pros with Joes and contributor for Dr. Roto.com. Eric joins the list of rotating cohosts on Redzone Redemption, so get used to him.

Each segment of waivers, starts/sits, and trades is broken down in the episode, so you can jump around as needed.

Waivers: Beginning Starts/Sits: 28-minute mark

Trades:45-minute mark

For Waivers, we discuss each player based on a Free Agent Auction Bidding budget. If you do not use that you can consider the first players your high-priority waiver targets. Do not be afraid to spend your FAAB budget early on players.

High Priority Waiver

Eric: Jeff Wilson Jr., 40%

Shane: Jaylen Warren, 30%

Mid Tier/Flex Level Waiver

Eric: Joshua Palmer, 12%

Shane: Devin Duvernay, 15%

Dart Throw

Eric: Tyrion Davis-Price, 3%; Add-on by Shane – Jordan Mason, 0%; Add-on by Eric – Dontrell Hilliard,0-10%

Shane: Jamaal Williams, 5%

Starts/Sits are players that Eric and I think you should either definitely put in your lineup that maybe you weren’t considering OR players that you should absolutely not put in. Eric and I disagree off the bat, so hope you enjoy it!

For the trades section of waivers, starts/sits, and trades we focused on trade targets. Normally we will also do reviews of listener/twitter trades. We discuss buy highs(yes I know that’s counterintuitive), Buy lows, and injury replacements. Buy highs are guys that are going to maintain a high level of performance that you want on your roster no matter the cost. Buy lows are players you need to capitalize on the panic of other managers. We discuss injury replacements for Dak, Elijah Mitchell, and Chris Godwin.
