Trey Lance Fantasy Football Profile – 2021 NFL Top Prospects
High School
Trey Lance attended Canby High School in Canby, Minnesota. He was a three-star recruit and was rated as the 8th best player in Minnesota and the best quarterback in the state. Lance initially committed to Minnesota and later rescinded after learning that Minnesota intended for him to be a Safety and not their Quarterback. He later committed to North Dakota State for the 2018 season.
College
As a redshirt freshman in 2019, Lance started all 16 games, won the Walter Payton Award and Jerry Rice Award, and was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2020 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game. He also set an all-divisions NCAA record for most passes thrown in a season without giving up an interception (287). Lance did not appear in 2020, as the Bison’s season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

NFL
Trey Lance is 20 years old, and stands 6’3″ and weighs in at 220 lbs. The RotoHeat team, when putting together the Trey Lance Fantasy Football Profile, delivered a mixed bag of evaluation. The team does agree that he has a good arm and that he possesses the ability to move and run away from danger. His accuracy may be an issue at the next level however, especially on short and intermediate throws. He has the potential to develop into a starting role at the NFL level and his ability to gain yards with his legs will make him an attractive fantasy asset.
