Travis Etienne Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Running Backs?
The team for the most part feels that Travis Etienne has a starting role on their roster in 2021. There are however some much higher on him that others. One analyst said, “The Jags will utilize Etienne all over the field during his rookie campaign. I’m expecting 10-15 carries paired with 5-6 targets per game. Between the solid passing game volume and Etienne’s big-play ability, I could see a huge year for him. Back end RB1 with a Kamara potential, and Etienne is a guy I’m buying any chance I get.”
Another said, “My biggest issue with Etienne is that he largely depends on the big play. James Robinson should be the early down pounder, whilst the Jags sprinkle in Etienne on passing downs and designed plays. His fantasy value is going to depend on whether the coaching staff and his QB can get him the ball in space.”
Overall, the team believes that Etienne will finish his rookie season in the RB21-27 range. Another analyst said, “Travis Etienne is an extremely talented back that I believe will struggle early. He won’t be able to bounce it to the outside edge and go like he did so often in college. What I do like a lot is his ability to catch the football and I see him in the slot a ton as a rookie.”
