Three Kickers to Stream Week 14

Welcome back to our Three Kickers to Stream article series for Week 14 of the 2021 season! For those who are unaware, “stream” or “streaming” refers to starting a player in lieu of a regular starter on your fantasy football squad. Usually this is needed by having no other option, whereas one of your players are hurt or on bye. However, sometimes you can may choose to stream a kicker as a general season-long strategy, or if the matchup/situation is better than your regular starter.

Before I get any further, I must say… KICKERS ARE IMPORTANT! Yes, they can be fluky at times. Yes, they typically score about the same amount of points at the end of the season. However, there are some factors that should be looked at on a week to week basis on which kickers to start any given week for your fantasy team. For example, is the game being played in favorable weather, or better yet, in a dome? Is the game going to be high scoring? Does the team typically go for it on 4th down or do they have a more conservative approach? All of these factors should be considered when choosing your weekly kicker.

Each week I will be bringing you the top three kickers to stream in your leagues. The goal of my streams is to identify a positive situation in the current week to help you get that all important “W.”

1. Matt Prater – Arizona Cardinals

Coming fresh off a bye, and recommended on our article last week, Matt Prater was one of the best kickers of the week. Prater was perfect in Week 13, connecting on both FGs and all three extra points. Currently available in about 2/3 of fantasy leagues, Prater kicks for one of the best offenses in the league and should be added in leagues where he is still out there on the waiver wire. Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins are both back healthy, and that should lead to many scoring opportunities for their offense and special teams moving forward.

In Week 14, Prater and the Arizona Cardinals host the Los Angeles Rams. I expect Arizona to be forced to put up a lot of points against one of the better teams in the league. Prater is almost a must-start kicking option as we head into the fantasy playoffs.

2. Evan McPherson – Cincinnati Bengals

The next kicker stream for Week 14 is Evan McPherson of the Cincinnati Bengals. As a rookie, McPherson has been incredible nailing kick after kick for the Bengals. On the season, Evan “Money Mac” McPherson has made 18/21 FGs and 35/37 extra points.

This week, McPherson and the rest of the Bengals host a decent matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. I expect McPherson to be busy here in Week 14 in a highly competitive and potential offensive shootout. Fire up McPherson and feel good knowing you’re in good hands – errr… feet.

3. Robbie Gould – San Francisco 49ers

A look at Three Kickers to Stream Week 14

Robbie Gould has quietly had a very good season. He was hurt and missed some games, but even still, on the season he has connected on 11 of 13 FGs and 26 of 27 extra points. The 49ers offense has been improving of late, and I expect them to continue to put up points especially if Deebo Samuel returns this week in Week 14.

Robbie Gould and the rest of the 49ers head to Cincinnati to face the Bengals. As I wrote earlier for McPherson, I expect a very competitive and potentially high-scoring game. Just as McPherson is recommended, Gould is recommended for these same reasons! The only hesitation would be poor weather, however, per the 7-day forecast it looks to be relatively pleasant with weather not being much of a factor. Check the weather closer to kick-off, but assuming the weather is fine, either of these options should be all systems go!
