Three DSTs to Stream Week 3

Streaming is a fantasy football strategy that fantasy managers use when they don’t have starters on their rosters that they trust entering any particular week during the fantasy season.

When it comes to DSTs, streaming is actually a fair bit better than starting the same DST almost every week. The top-scoring DST of 2020, the LA Rams, scored 151 points. The 5th best option at DST each week (likely streaming candidates) scored 196 points. As you can see, DSTs are not about averaging the highest fantasy points per game, but it’s about hitting spike weeks from DSTs with good matchups.

Streaming DSTs is the way, and RotoHeat is here to tell you what DSTs to target every week of the 2021 NFL Fantasy Football season. These are the three DSTs to Stream Week 3.

Arizona Cardinals DST (vs. Jaguars)

After having had a great Week 1 and an outright terrible Week 2, where do we stand on the Cardinals DST? In Week 3, they are a good streaming option. They face the Jaguars who look like they are still trying to find their identity as a team.

With Chandler Jones, JJ Watt, and friends hunting for Trevor Lawrence, there could be plenty of sacks and turnovers for the Cardinals DST in Week 3.

Cleveland Browns DST (vs. Bears)

The Browns DST didn’t perform at all how I expected in Week 2 against the Texans. Regardless, meeting a banged-up Andy Dalton or rookie Justin Fields could be exactly what this DST needs.

Dalton has not looked good so far for the Bears, and Justin Fields, who has shown in flashes that he can become very good in the future, has a tendency to be a bit sloppy with ball-handling and protecting the ball in general.

Las Vegas Raiders DST (vs. Dolphins)

The last of our three DSTs to stream Week 3 is likely a surprise to many of you. This one comes down to Tua’s injury and whether it is severe enough for him to miss time. We saw that the Dolphins were unable to get anything going after Tua left the game in Week 2 against the Bills.

Although Brissett is a serviceable backup, there is a reason he is only a backup, as he was unable to put anything together against the Bills. The Raiders DST could end up being a sneaky play if Tua is out for Week 3, as they have been able to produce sacks and turnovers so far this season.
