Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: Is He a Top 35 RB?

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021

In this article, we are going to cover the Rhamondre Stevenson fantasy outlook for 2021. We will share where we think he will rank amongst all running backs in 2021. Should you buy, hold or sell? Will Rhamondre Stevenson be more or less valuable in 2022? Do we think he is going to be a league winner, weekly starter, flex play, spot starter, dark horse or dart throw? Included is all of this as well as personal opinions of the six people that participated from the RotoHeat staff.

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: What Is His Weekly Playability?

Due to how New England utilizes their running backs, and the players ahead of him on the depth chart, the RotoHeat team mainly sees Rhamondre as a darkhorse of 2022 weekly playability. With James White still there as the receiving back and Damien Harris seemingly locking up the majority of the rest of the RB downs, there does not appear to be a lot of touches for Rhamondre this season. If Harris were to show himself as inefficient or get hurt, Rhamondre will have definate value. As one team member said “Stevenson is now an injury away from a ton of carries.”

Darkhorse: 5
Spot Starter: 1

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: More, Same or Less Valuable in 2022 Dynasty Offseason?

The six RotoHeat members who discussed Rhamondre unanimously believe that he will have a higher value in the 2022 offseason. He currently sits at RotoHeat SF Dynasty Positional ADP as RB 48 and Fantasy Pros PPR Draft Positional ADP as RB 63. Clearly we already had a higher view of him that the general consensus, and we feel that he will be higher than that going into the 2022 season.

Harris is only under contract through 2022, and Stevenson is on a cheap rookie deal through 2024. Stevenson showed very well in the preseason and he should have some touches this season to continue to show what he can do.

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: Buy, Sell or Hold?

All of us are buying or holding Rhamondre, will four of the six buying. We liked what we have seen from him in the preseason and do expect him to have a larger role in 2022. With his value lower than we think it will be in a year, most of us are naturally looking to buy where we can. As one of the team members said “I’d buy with the hopes that when Mac Jones is the starter, two backs can then see 100+ touches and some receptions.”

Buy: 4
Hold: 2

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Running Backs?

Half of us had Rhamondre finishing in the RB 32 – RB 36 range, two had him RB 37 – RB 48, and one had him at RB 49+. We just do not see enough touches for Rhamondre to do much in fantasy football this year with White and Harris taking the majoirty of the snaps when healthy. As one member put it “Seems to have earned carries behind Damien Harris, but is still a member of a four-headed backfield that also includes Harris, White, JJ Taylor.”

High: RB 32
Low: RB 49+

Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Outlook 2021: Conclusion

The six members of the RotoHeat team that looked into Rhamondre Stevenson this year ultimately believe that he will need injuries ahead of him for weekly fantasy relevance. We are higher on him in the long-term though, which makes him a good potential trade target later in the year if he stays deeper on the depth chart to start the year.
