I have to apologize, as we had storms come through Wisconsin and Indiana where Kraig and I reside causing this week’s Stream and Pod to run rampant with technical difficulties. So instead of posting the IDP trade value stream and pod in this article, I’m going to talk about the players we mentioned as well as their values in our opinions.

We talked about players we are targeting in trades, not necessarily sleepers, but just IDP players we think we can get at a good value and who could over-perform the price point we would be paying. We did have overlap on some players, but we tried to give you some options at each position on the defense.

IDP Trade Value and Targets – Kraigs Picks

IDP Trade Value
ATLANTA, GEORGIA – AUGUST 15: Matt Ryan #2 of the Atlanta Falcons is sacked by Avery Williamson #54 of the New York Jets during the first half of the preseason game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on August 15, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images)

Avery Williamson – LB New York Jets
Keanu Neal – S Atlanta Falcons
Lavonte David – LB Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Carlos Dunlap – DE Cincinnati Bengals
Cameron Heyward – DE Pittsburgh Steelers
Thomas Davis – LB Washington Redskins
Kyle Dugger – S New England Patriots
Nick Kwiatkoski – LB Las Vegas Raiders

Kraig’s Thoughts:

Most of the players on his list were guys that are more under the radar values, Dugger being the only rookie, but one he is extremely high on. All of these IDP assets outside of Dugger should be fairly inexpensive because of either age, change of scenery, or injuries, and even with Dugger he says wait to try an acquire during the season when his value will drop because he will need time to develop at the next level.

IDP Trade Value
EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY – OCTOBER 20: Golden Tate #15 of the New York Giants catches the ball in the air as Deionte Thompson #35 and Jordan Hicks #58 of the Arizona Cardinals defend during the second quarter of the game at MetLife Stadium on October 20, 2019 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Carlos Dunlap/Sam Hubbard – DE’s Cincinnati Bengals
Jeffrey Simmons – DT Tennessee Titans
Jordan Hicks – LB Arizona Cardinals
Darius Slay – CB Philadelphia Eagles
John Johnson – S LA Rams
Jabrill Peppers – S New York Giants

Brad’s Thoughts:

My thoughts for this week’s topic were simple: best value for lowest price. Outside of Hubbard and Simmons, I would expect all these pieces be a mid/late 2nd to a mid 3rd in price, or a younger player with some potential. When I make IDP trade offers, you have to be prepared to negotiate because you’ll often find a league with a lot of owners really unsure of the true value of their IDP assets. This leads to trades that can be very fair but also really be solid in the return on your investment.
