3 Defensive Linemen you might want to get on your Dynasty Roster before 2021!
If you are like me, you go to all these players to add articles (offense and defense), all excited to read about that new hidden gem and…are you kidding me? He’s not available in any competitive leagues I know of! Maybe in your Uncle’s 8 team league of retired Army Buddies.
I’m here today to bring you a few possible hidden gems that play on the Defensive Line. When choosing a Defensive Lineman to start or roster, look for tackles. Everyone always looks for sacks, which are great, but not consistent. You want tackles!
First Defensive Linemen: Folorunso (Foley) Fatukasi, DT, NY Jets
Foley is a 3rd year player drafted in the 6th round out of Connecticut. He played just 3 snaps his rookie year and was up and down last year. For 2020, the highest snap percentage he got in the first five weeks was 39% with a low of 28%. In week 6 he got 45% of snaps as they were seeing something out of this player. Then comes week 7! 55% of snaps and multiple tackles and points! In fact, Foley has multiple tackles and points in every game from week 7-12! Week 10 was a bye, so in his last 5 games, he has 28 tackles with 12 solo (2 for a loss), 1 forced fumble, and 1 sack. Get him now on your dynasty squad before word gets out! Unless you are in my leagues…I already have him!
Second Defensive Linemen: Dre’Mont Jones, DE, Denver Broncos
Like with Foley, nothing much to write home about in the first 6 weeks (IR for 4 of them). But then week 7 shows up! 61% of snaps. Weeks 11 and 12 got him 78% of snaps! How bout 24 tackles with 17 solo (4 for a loss), 3 sacks, and 1 pass defense! This is the 2nd year for this 2019 3rd round draft pick out of Ohio State. I see huge things for him! Get him now!
Third Defensive Linemen: Zach Sieler, DE, Miami Dolphins
After not doing much in his first two years, the third year could be his charm. This 2018 7th round draft pick of the Baltimore Ravens out of little Ferris State looks to have found his home with the Miami Dolphins! Since week 5, other than week 11, he has had a low of 56.5% and a high of 83.1% of snaps. Week 11 was just 36.4%. Another positive is just 2 weeks ago, he signed a 3 year 8 million dollar deal. Miami likes him! Zach has 9 consecutive games of multiple tackles! In that streak, he has 30 tackles with 16 being solo. He has 5 tackles for a loss and 1 ½ sacks. Another player that is probably on your waiver wire that you need for 2021!
