Finding DFS value plays is a big part of Daily Fantasy Sports. Not only do value plays that give you solid production points help build a solid roster with more studs in their line up, but they could give you that unique player to help separate your line up from everyone else’s. I have taken a look at the salaries on, the following are the options I would consider DFS value plays for Week 3.

DFS Value Plays: Quarterback

Teddy Bridgewater, Car @ LAC; DK = $5200

Only two starting quarterbacks are less expensive than Bridgewater on DraftKings. However, Teddy Bridgewater has a couple of things going for him that some of the other quarterbacks in this price range do not. The first being that Carolina lost CMC for 4-6 weeks, meaning that they might have to rely on the passing game a little more. Second, Bridgewater has thrown for 269 yards in week 1 and 367 yards in week 2, he only found the endzone once. If Bridgewater throws some touchdowns against the Chargers, he could be a DFS value play.

DFS Value Plays: Running Backs

Jerick McKinnon, SF @NYG; DK = $4900

McKinnon is alone in the backfield after a couple of knee injuries have knocked out some of his teammates. Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman are both listed as doubtful as of Wednesday. The 49ers will also be missing wide receiver Deebo Samuel, quarterback Jimmy G, two of their top defensive linemen, and superstar tight end Greg Kittle is listed as questionable. All these injuries could mean a busy day for McKinnon. Even with the injuries listed above the 49ers could end up leading on the Giants and try running out the clock or need him to catch passes out of the backfield.

Giovani Bernard, Cin @ Phi; DK = $4200

Giovani Bernard is a player I would consider a value play in GPP tournaments. He more than likely will not be highly rostered and is just $4200. The Bengals could find themselves behind again and Joe Burrow could target Bernard to help pick up some quick start yardage plays. Bernard had 5 targets in Week 1 and 7 in Week 2. He was able to get you 6.8 & 7.5 in those weeks on DraftKings. If the Bengals find themselves trailing again I would expect Bernard to see a lot of targets and hope that he could find his way in the endzone.

DFS Value Plays: Wide Receivers

Damiere Byrd, NE vs LV; DK = $3000

Byrd is at the $3000 price floor. After not seeing a target in Week 1, Byrd come alive last week. In Week 2, Newton targeted him 9 times which resulted in 6 receptions for 72 yards, good for 13.2 points on DraftKings. Damiere Byrd is a starter opposite of Harry on the outside for New England and should still see some production while defenses have to focus on stopping quarterback Cam Newton, not just from running but passing as well. I could see Byrd being rostered a decent amount, not only because of his price but because his Week 2 performance came against Seattle in primetime with no other games on.

Russell Gage, ATL vs CHI; DK = $5100

I have Russell Gage as a value play is $5100. The reason I have him on this list is because of his production. In Week 1, he 9 passes for 114 yards, good for 23.4 points on DraftKings (with a 3 point bonus for going over 100 yards). In Week 2, he caught 6 passes for 46 yards and a score, which got him 16.6 on DraftKings. He has a track record of getting players that select him a decent amount of points. Facing off against Chicago, I could see more of the same.

DFS Value Plays: Tight End

Drew Sample, Cin @ Phi; DK = $3500

CJ Uzomah was hurt Thursday night against the Browns. Drew Sample was able to step up and help fill the void that was left behind. Sample was able to secure 7 of his 9 targets for 45 yards. Week 3 the Bengals face a Eagles team that has given up some decent points to the tight end position. In Week 1, Logan Thomas of Washington caught 4 passes for 37 yards and a score, good for 13.7 points. Last week, Tyler Higbee had 5 receptions for 54 yards and 3 touchdowns, that got him 28.4 points. At $3500, Sample can has a shot to get you some solid production and not break the bank.
