Best FanDuel Week 11 plays – TNF Edition

Daily fantasy differs quite a bit from season-long redraft or dynasty fantasy. In daily fantasy, you can pick from all the players available on a given slate, but you must stay within the budget available to you. That means you can’t just grab all the most expensive players but need to be strategic in your choices and pick some of the good, expensive players to be your captains, while you also need some value plays to fill out your lineup.

Here at RotoHeat, we want to put you in the best position to succeed when you play FanDuel, whether you play on Thursday, Sunday, Monday or, on all of those days. To help you make your lineup we go through our two best choices for Captain, our two best Flex options and the two players we feel are the best value. To get to our favorite players for the slate, we have 5 RotoHeat analysts vote on who they like the most for Captain, Flex, and Value.

FanDuel TNF Week 11: New England Patriots vs. Atlanta Falcons

MVP 1: QB Mac Jones, New England Patriots

Best FanDuel Week 11 plays – TNF Edition, MVP 1 Mac Jones

For this Thursday Night Football game, the RotoHeat team has landed on Mac Jones as our top pick for MVP.

He has just come off of a performance as the QB4 in Week 10 against the Browns, and now he gets an almost equally good match-up when it comes to points allowed to opposing QBs. The Falcons currently rank twelfth in that category.

The RotoHeat projection for Mac Jones is 18.7 fantasy points, which is our highest projection for the game. What makes Mac Jones the best MVP candidate for this game is his floor. He has averaged 14.9 fantasy points per game over his last 5 contests, which should make him a safe play.

MVP 2: TE Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

A lot of the time, we will prefer having quarterbacks as our MVPs for Thursday Night Football, but in this game, we feel like Matt Ryan’s upside is not high and his floor could be the basement (he scored just 0.68 fantasy points against the Panthers).

Instead, we have decided to go with Kyle Pitts. We have him projected to score 11.8 fantasy points, which is our highest non-QB projection. Pitts has an enormous ceiling which is what could be enticing when picking him as your MVP. However, his floor is quite pedestrian, which is why he is our second option.

Flex 1: TE Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

It’s going to be rare that we have two tight ends as some of the best options for daily fantasy, but it is absolutely the case for this week.

Whilst Hunter Henry’s projection is not great at 7.8 fantasy points, Henry has a ceiling quite akin to that of Kyle Pitts.

Henry is hands down the preferred red-zone weapon for Mac Jones to look for in the passing game. Henry showed as recently as Week 10 that he has double-touchdown upside, making him someone you basically need to play for the TNF slate. You do not want to miss out if Henry goes for a big game and everyone else owns him.

Flex 2: WR Kendrick Bourne, New England Patriots

This might come as a surprise to some people, but our pick for Flex 2 is Kendrick Bourne. While no WR for the Patriots seems to consistently get the most targets, Bourne does appear to be utilized mostly as the team’s intermediate to deep threat, which means he has the biggest chance of giving you a big score.

While Jakobi Meyers just scored his first TD for the Pats in Week 10, Bourne leads the Patriots’ WRs in touchdowns on the season and seems like the better bet to get a touchdown in this game.

Value 1: RB Wayne Gallman, Atlanta Falcons (If Cordarrelle Patterson is OUT)

Best FanDuel Week 11 plays – TNF Edition, Value 1 Wayne Gallman

When it comes to our pick of Wayne Gallman as our best value, there is a big IF attached to that. Cordarrelle Patterson is a true game-time decision. If he cannot go, the backfield is going to be shared by Mike Davis and Wayne Gallman.

In truth, either running back could take the reins in this game if CP is OUT, but we believe that Gallman is actually the better option of the two, especially given that he is cheaper.

Mike Davis has failed to top 20 rushing yards in three of his last four games and should cede more rushing work to Gallman who looked like the better player of the two against the Cowboys in Week 10.

If Gallman can indeed overtake Davis as the lead back for this game, he is definitely worth the $6,500 salary that you can get him at.

Value 2: WR Olamide Zaccheaus, Atlanta Falcons

Best FanDuel Week 11 plays – TNF Edition, Value 2 Olamide Zaccheaus

When you look at the Falcons’ offense, it appears that Olamide Zaccheaus has won the job as the #2 WR behind Russell Gage. Zaccheaus has just one less target than Gage over the last 2 weeks but has 12.6 fantasy points more in those games.

When you consider that Zaccheaus is $3,000 cheaper in salary, that makes Zaccheaus a no-brainer at the value you can get him for.

As with any value pick, you hope to hit the upside, and with Gage and Zaccheaus presenting basically the same floor and upside, you should of course go with the cheaper option.
