Colts coach Frank Reich said Andrew Luck (calf) is “not ready to take the next step” in his recovery.

Andrew Luck sat out all of mini camp because of his calf injury, however he was expected to be ready for the start of training camp. It appears that the calf has not responded well to the first few practices. As a result the the Colts plan to hold him out for a couple of days to see how things progress. There is no sense in rushing a quarterback of Luck’s ability back onto the field. The injury is now going on three months, and if it continues to linger it will become a real concern.
