2021 NFL Draft Pick 221: Chicago Bears Select Dazz Newsome

With the 221st pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Dazz Newsome was drafted by the Chicago Bears.

Dazz Newsome spent 4 years playing WR for North Carolina, where he also displayed skill as a kick and punt returner. He made 188 receptions for 2,435 yards and 18 TDs during his college career. He added 20 carries for 178 yards and 2 more TDs.

Fantasy Implications

Newsome will be added to the Chicago WR room of Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and Darnell Mooney. Newsome could very well carve out a role in this offense and will likely be the WR4, but could finish the season as their WR3. He’ll join fellow 2021 NFL Draft pick Justin Fields. Newsome will likely spend most of his time on special teams, but I think he’s worth a 4th round flyer in Rookie Drafts.
