2020 NFL COVID Opt-Outs & Potential Beneficiaries

Much like every day life, COVID-19 is an unforutnate reality we have to deal with within fantasy football. Staying up to date on this will be paramount for planning your team before the season starts.

In this article we will be looking at, and updating as we get news, the players that have opted-out, and then the players that appear likely to professionally benefit due to the opt-out this season and going forward.

UPDATE: This is believed to be the final list of those who opted-out before the deadline on August 6, 2020. With the deadline now passed, players may only opt-out if they receive a new diagnosis that they have a “higher risk” factor for COVID-19, or if they have a family member who dies or becomes hospitalized due to COVID-19.

-As a free agent, this does not really change things for any teams currently. It does, however, keep another quality, proven veteran off of a team for this year, as Warford was a Pro Bowler each of the past three years while on the New Orleans Saints.
