*Disclaimer: Start/Sit results are subject to change do to injury reports and other factors leading up to game time. Any rankings and scoring discussed is based off the RotoHeat IDP Scoring we have discussed.

Pick two: Jaylon Smith, Fred Warner, Kyzir White and Shaq Thompson

Smith is LB 7 right now at nearly 10.79 points/game, and faces Philadelphia, who gives up the 8th fewest points/game to opposing linebackers. White is our LB 31 right now, averaging about 9 points/game. This week White and the Chargers play against Denver, which is giving up the 15th most points to opposing linebackers. Warner is the LB 11 with 66.50 points, at 9.50/game. The 49ers play Seattle, who give up the 4th fewest points to opposing linebackers this year.

Thompson played Thursday night, so I won’t, and would not have been, picking him. Prior to last night he was averaging 8 points a game, was tied for being LB 2. Atlanta was giving up the 7th fewest points to opposing linebackers, and last night he ended up with 5.50 points (3 solos and 3 assists).

Of the three remaining, the one I would sit is Warner. White is close to him in points a game and has a far better match-up. Jaylon I am not sitting even with the less than ideal match-up.

Start one: AJ Johnson, KJ Wright and Jaylon Smith

Wright is LB 19, averaging a little over 10 points/game. Wright is impressive in that the first two games he had a combined 5 points total, on 63.5% average snap share in those games. Week 3 on he has averaged 14.13 points a game on a 96% snap share average. Smith as discussed above is the LB 7 currently. Cunning

AJ Johnson has a 100% snap share this season and is LB 38 this year with a little over 8 points a game. The Broncos play the Chargers who have given up the 4th most fantasy points to opposing linebackers this year. All three are nice options, but I will start Wright. Outside of Weeks 1 and 2 he has been on fire, and has a great match-up.

Start two for flex: BJ Goodson, Tracy Walker, Josh Bynes and Rashaan Evans

Bynes is playing the Titans, who give up the 12th most fantasy points to opposing linebackers, and is averaging just under 6 points/game. Goodson is playing the Raiders, who give up the 13th fewest points to opposing linebackers. He is averaging just over 9 points/game.

Evans is averaging 6 points/game and is playing the Bengals, who give up the 9th most points to opposing linebackers. Finally, Walker is averaging 8 points/game and faces the Colts who give up the 4th most to opposing safeties.Oddly enough the DB of the group is the must start to me. I see a game with high scoring potential, which means Phil Rivers throwing, which has been great for opposing DBs this year. Bynes is not a guy I want to start, even if he does have a good match-up, as he does not have a high floor or high ceiling.

I am going with Goodson here for my second one. He is averaging a higher points/game and also has a higher average snap percentage; 89% for Goodson vs 80% for Evans (leaving out a Week 1 aberration for Evans where he played 22%).

Start Bobby Wagner or Patrick Queen

Queen is our LB 5 right now with 82.00 points and Wagner is our LB 36 at 55.00. Both have great match-ups, as the Seahawks play the 49ers, who give up 8th most fantasy points to opposing linebackers. The Steelers, who play the Ravens, give up.

While Queen has more points, Wagner has been more consistent. All of Wagner’s week have been between 7.50 and 12.00 points. Queen on the other hand has in order, weeks of 15.00, 8.00, 4.00, 19.50, 32.50 and 3.00. Queen has played between 63% and 88% of the snaps each week, while Wagner sits at 100%.

Given all that, for me it comes down to what do you need this week? If you want a higher floor and probably lower ceiling, go with Wagner. Queen clearly has the lower floor and higher ceiling. If it was me, I would go with Wagner, but I like consistency.

Start one: Neville Hewitt, Jayon Brown or Vince Williams

Hewitt is our LB 27, and averages 8 points a game. The Jets play the Chiefs, who give up the fewest points to opposing linebackers so far this year. Williams is currently LB 8, with 73 points (12.17 points/game average). The Steelers play the Ravens, and the Ravens give up 12th fewest points to opposing linebackers this year.

Brown is our LB 29 (averaging 9.5 points/game) and faces the Bengals, who give up the 9th most points to opposing linebackers. With all that, Brown is my pick. He has the best match-up and isn’t that far off from Williams in terms of scoring per game.

Sit one: Eric Wilson, KJ Wright and Demario Davis

Surprisingly, Wilson is the LB 13 so far, averaging 11 points a game. The Vikings play the Packers, who give up the 14th fewest points/game to opposing linebackers.Wright was discussed above, and Seattle faces San Francisco, who give up 8th most points/game to opposing linebackers.

Demario is LB 34 with 8.33 points a game. The Saints play the Bears, who give up the 3rd fewest points/game to opposing linebackers. With all of the above, I am sitting Demario Davis this week.
