Week 15 Waiver Wire adds for Fantasy Football 2022
Alright, alright, alright! The first make or break this fantasy football season is over. You either made your playoffs or you did not. For some, not making the playoffs means their fantasy season is effectively over. For others, it means consolation playoffs (possibly for a draft pick order or something similar) and for others yet, it means that now it is time to avoid the dreaded toilet bowl and the punishment that might come with finishing in last place in your league.
Regardless of the reason you are still playing for something in your fantasy football league(s), you might need help to improve your roster. Kyler Murray went down with an injury on Monday Night Football and is out for the season. Other players, like Deebo Samuel, also need time to rest and become healthy, so the waiver wire is still very much relevant, even this far into the season. If nothing else, you might be looking to handcuff your starting running back just in case he suffers an injury.
Week 15 Waiver Wire Adds – Quarterbacks
Someone who played a lot better in his first NFL start, than what his Mr. Irrelevant (last rookie picked in the NFL draft) status merits was Brock Purdy. He had a very effective stat line against the Buccaneers in Week 14, making Brock Purdy a decent option, albeit not someone you can rely on to win you your playoff matchup in Week 15.
Someone on the Week 15 waiver wire list that you might be able to rely on to win you a week is the other QB on this week’s waiver. That is Jared Goff. Goff has been stellar for most of the season, rarely killing you and showing that he has a week-winning upside on a good Lions’ offense. Back-to-back performances of over 25 fantasy points is very good for your fantasy lineup.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Adds – Running Backs
The featured running backs in the NFL are getting closer and closer to being extinct. More and more teams employ shared backfields with specialists for various roles. When it comes to a pass-catching specialist at running back, Jerrick McKinnon is one of the best, not just in the NFL but for fantasy too. He can explode on any given week, as the Kansas City Chiefs love to throw the football, making him an excellent pickup on the Week 15 waiver wire.
If you are desperate for the running back position, and McKinnon is not available, perhaps you should be looking at Marlon Mack instead. He is not getting a ton of touches as it stands right now, but the Broncos are a team trying to find out how to improve on offense, and Mack might be the right medicine, which could earn him more touches.
Someone who is not available in a lot of leagues but could be on the waiver wire in your league if you are lucky is Zonovan Knight. Bam as he is popularly called, has produced in back-to-back games now and is a must-add to almost any roster unless it is completely stacked. The rookie has won the backfield job from Michael Carter and is a great flex option on a weekly basis throughout the fantasy football playoffs.
Week 15 Waiver Wire Adds – Wide Receivers
The Houston Texans are looking to see what productive players they have for next season, and thus are giving ample playing time and target share to the few well-playing players they have. The best performer on the Texans right now is Chris Moore. He scored over 22 points in Week 14, making him a prime candidate to pick up from the Week 15 waiver wire list.
Next up we have DJ Chark. Jameson Williams is still being eased very slowly into the offense, as he is both a rookie and has only just come off the PUP list 10 days ago. In the meantime, DJ Chark has been playing well as of late, scoring 14.8 and 21.4 points in his last two games respectively. Thus, he should be on the radar of fantasy managers.
When it comes to the waiver wire, we often look at players who are getting more opportunities because the players in front of them on the depth chart are getting injured. This is the case for Ben Skowronek. Everyone seems to be injured for the Rams, which makes Skowronek a viable fantasy option going into Week 15. Baker Mayfield looked for Skowronek a lot, resulting in 7 catches for 89 yards on 8 targets. You cannot ask for much more than that from a waiver pickup this late in the season.
The next player on the Week 15 waiver wire list is someone who seems to be a recurring player every single week, yet his ownership does not seem to change much. I am of course talking about Donovan Peoples-Jones. The Browns WR just had 12 targets in Week 14. He cashed those targets in for 8 receptions and 114 yards, making him a must-add if you are looking at WR depth.
Last, but not least, among the wide receivers, we have Zay Jones. Jones has been able to show some of the skills that made him a very promising rookie prospect, capitalizing on one good and 2 very good fantasy outings in 3 of his last 4 games.

Week 15 Waiver Wire Adds – Tight End
Rarely do we see a rookie tight end produce, but last season, Pat Freiermuth (and Kyle Pitts, yardage-wise) did just that. The same is true this season, where Chig Okonkwo has shown that he is here to stay for fantasy football. Okonkwo has become one of the primary targets in the Titans’ passing offense, due to his athleticism and speed.
Another tight end, who has not as much broken out as “re-broken out” is Evan Engram. He is currently the TE4 on the back of a Travis Kelce-esque performance in Week 15. That is why you have to pick up Engram from the Week 15 waiver wire list.
