Week 12 Waiver Wire adds for Fantasy Football 2022

The NFL season has been flying by, but fortunately, we still have 7 more weeks of regular season NFL football. In fantasy, however, the regular season ends in 2 or 3 three weeks for almost all the fantasy managers out there. However, this does not mean that fantasy managers should stop tinkering with their rosters, in fact, the waiver becomes increasingly more important, as injuries continue to plague NFL players and thus fantasy managers.

It is this time of the NFL season that fantasy managers should start to look at picking up handcuffs for their starting RBs if those are available on the waiver wire, and there might still be a few streaming options left, on the Week 12 waiver wire, for the QB and TE positions. But picking up a key producer at RB or WR, who is getting an opportunity because of an injury to another starter, might also be what earns some managers a fantasy football championship.

Here are the best options on the Week 12 waiver wire:

Week 12 Waiver Wire Adds – Quarterbacks

Taylor Heinicke had a bad fantasy performance in Week 11, but he has a great matchup in Week 12, against the Falcons, which should put him on your streaming radar.

The safest option at QB this week of all the streaming options is probably Ryan Tannehill. He is not a sexy play, and he is not going to post a huge stat line, but he is going to give some decent production against the Bengals.

Week 12 Waiver Wire Adds – Running Backs

Isiah Pacheco is a priority add on the Week 12 waiver wire

With Melvin Gordon being released by the Denver Broncos, that should pave the way for Latavius Murray to see an increase in touches. Murray is still going to split with Chase Edmonds, but the latter has not been very good with his touches this season, which is why the Dolphins traded him in the first place, so look for Murray to carry the bulk of the backfield work.

Another RB that could very well see an increase in his workload is Isiah Pacheco. Clyde Edwards-Helaire has been placed on the injured reserve, and even though Pacheco was already seeing most of the backfield work in KC, CEH getting injured might increase Pacheco’s role even more. Pacheco should be a priority add if he is on your Week 12 waiver wire.

A running back that some people might have forgotten about, because he was on a bye week in Week 11 is Rachaad White. White took over the starting gig from Leonard Fournette, and did well, even though the two RBs still worked as a committee. If White remains the starter, he could be a league-winner, making him a must-add this week.

Week 12 Waiver Wire Adds – Wide Receivers

A wide receiver who has benefited in a big way from injuries to teammates is wide receiver Demarcus Robinson. In Week 11, Robinson had over 20 points. He saw a lot of volume, which might continue in Week 12 against the Jaguars.

A wide receiver who has been injured for a while this season but returned to score a touchdown in Week 11 is Jarvis Landry. He needs to work his way back into the offense but could become a safety blanket for his QB in the weeks to come, thus seeing an increase in target share.

Speaking of target share, Nico Collins has seen an increase in that department in recent weeks. He posted a season-high 10 targets in Week 10 and 7 targets in Week 11. He has only had over 7 targets once this season prior to Week 10.

Talented rookie wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson suffered a season-ending injury, which leaves targets for Darius Slayton. Slayton has been the one consistent fantasy pass-catcher for the Giants, posting over 10 points in his last 4 games and 5 of his last 6.

The Colts have been a complete rollercoaster this season when it comes to fantasy production. In some games, the offense has produced several relevant fantasy options, and in other weeks, not a single Colts’ player has been worth starting. Over the last 6 weeks, however, Parris Campbell has been a solid option to use as a bye-week filler, consistently seeing targets and productions.

Another very consistent option has been Donovan Peoples-Jones, who was over 10 fantasy points in 7 of 10 games this season. You cannot ask for much more from someone you can pick up off the Week 12 waiver wire. With Deshaun Watson returning soon, now is the time to pick up DPJ.

The last receiver on the list is a rookie that a lot of people touted (myself included) as the WR1 in the 2022 NFL Draft at some point during the draft process. He certainly has not been a standout this season, but in Week 11 Treylon Burks showed the damage he can do as a WR1 for the Titans. If this past week is a sign of things to come, Burks could become a league winner.

Week 12 Waiver Wire Adds – Tight End

When it comes to streaming options at the tight end position, scoring opportunities is where it is at. Just scoring a touchdown, is likely to be enough to get into the top 10 at tight end in any given week. This past week Austin Hooper scored not once, but twice. Going forward, Hooper might be one of the TEs you should look at to score touchdowns, as defenses begin to stack the box against RB Derrick Henry.

Another touchdown-or-bust tight end is Juwan Johnson of the New Orleans Saints. He now has 5 touchdowns in 11 games, but all 5 touchdowns have come in the past five weeks, scoring in 4 of those 5 games. He seems to be a good bet to get redzone targets from Andy Dalton, but he entirely depends on a touchdown to give you any worthwhile performance.

The last tight end on the list has historically had some good volume, and now that Logan Thomas is properly back from injury, that might be the case again. He saw 6 targets in Week 11 and caught 5 passes, to score 11.5 fantasy points, which is a lot for a tight end without a touchdown.

Those are your 15 best options on the Week 12 waiver wire. Good luck on your acquisitions and good luck in Week 12!
