Three Tight Ends to Stream Week 4

Streaming is a fantasy football strategy that fantasy managers use when they don’t have starter on their rosters that they trust entering any particular week during the fantasy season. For those that participate in leagues with the kicker position and defense/special teams (DST), this is a fairly common practice. Streaming, however, is not limited to the kicker and DST. At times, fantasy managers can employ this tactic for any of the skilled player positions. Streaming requires league managers to manage their roster and make waiver wire moves weekly.

Matchups are a driving force behind streaming at all positions, and TE is no exception. If you waited until late in your draft to acquire a TE, or dislike a certain matchup, then streaming may very well be your best bet. Each week I will bring you my top 3 weekly streamers at the TE position. The goal is to identify a positive matchup for you to exploit, and as always, win your fantasy matchup. Let’s dive in to Three Tight Ends to Stream – Week 3!

Tyler Conklin – Minnesota Vikings

Tyler Conklin was a consistent part of the Vikings’ short and intermediate passing in their win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3. Conklin was targeted 8 times, catching 7 of them for 70 yards and a touchdown. Barring the action on Monday, Conklin sits at TE9 with an average of 10.53 PPR points a game.

During the first two weeks of the season, the third option in the passing game in Minnesota was K.J. Osborn. In Week 3, Osborn saw two targets. The two could trade off usable weeks and picking which one to roll with likely depends on the matchup. In Week 4 vs the Browns, the Vikings face a defense which is 19th best against the WR and 24th best against the TE season to date. Osborn and Conklin are both solid streaming options in Week 4, and I would roll with Conklin if picking between the two.

Logan Thomas – Washington Football Team

Logan Thomas caught all 4 of his targets for 42 yards in Washington’s Week 3 loss to the Bills. The Bills defense is legit and QB Taylor Heinicke only attempted 24 passes. Four targets isn’t great, but a 16.7% market share is something to take notice of.

In Week 4, the WFT face the Atlanta Falcons, a team that through three weeks have allowed 22.2 PPR points to opposing tight ends. Thomas’ roster percentage is high (88% on Sleeper) and streaming him might be tough, but if he is available in your league, he is a must add and a must start.

Noah Fant – Denver Broncos

Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant caught 2-of-3 targets for 15 yards in the Broncos’ Week 3 win over the Jets. 3.5 PPR points is hardly a stat line to chase. What is important to note is the passing volume simply was not there for the Broncos in a game where they merely needed to show up to beat the New York Jets.

In Week 4, that won’t be the case when the Broncos host Baltimore. The Ravens on the season are the worst defense in the league versus opposing tight ends. In three weeks they have allowed the TE1, TE2, and TE31 weekly finishes. Denver will need to throw in this one should they wish to stay unbeaten. Noah Fant is a solid streaming option for you in Week 4.
