Larry Rountree III Fantasy Outlook 2021: What Is His Weekly Playability?
Most of the team feels that Larry is just a dart throw this year. He is currently competing with Joshua Kelley and Justin Jackson for back-ups snaps behind starting RB Austin Ekeler. One of our team members said “Could have some value down the road. Just not a clear path to snaps right now.” and that is how most of the team felt about this situation.

Larry Rountree III Fantasy Outlook 2021: More, Same or Less Valuable in 2022 Dynasty Offseason?
Rountree is currently not being drafted in RotoHeat superflex dynasty leagues and is RB102 according to FantasyPros PPR Draft Positional ADP. Most of the team feels that he will be going higher next year than he is now, although four of 12 felt it will be about the same. As one team member put it, it “never hurts to see what happens if you have the roster space. I liked the player coming out of college.”

“He will most likely not be worth much this season, but if you can get him with your last draft pick in redraft or a late round draft selection in dynasty, then it’s worth taking the flyer on him.” One of the buyers said “If he can win that RB2 spot on the depth chart his value can increase pretty quickly. He is a good dart throw in dynasty, but for redraft he would be nothing but a handcuff unless Ekeler gets hurt.”

One of the holders didn’t even feel that if Ekeler went down that he would have much value “I do not see him taking over if Ekeler goes down, as they would sign someone. Will he make the roster? Just a dart throw to hold and hope.” The only seller on the team simply said “As hard as I try, I just don’t see anything of any value here.”
Larry Rountree III Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Running Backs?
Nine of us felt that Larry will end this year as RB 49+. Two had him in the RB 37-48 range and one in the RB 32-36 range. This confirms the belief that we had as a team in this evaluation that he likely won’t be overly relevant this year. “Not gonna be worth much this season, but if u can get him with your last draft pick in redraft or a late round draft selection in dynasty, then it’s worth taking the flyer on him.”

Larry Rountree III Fantasy Outlook 2021: Conclusion
Overall the team does not think that Larry will have a big impact for fantasy teams in most leagues this year. He is fighting to make the team as a sixth round pick, and has established players with more draft capital ahead of him. We do feel he may be relevant down the road, we just do not expect it to be this year.
