Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021
In this article, we are going to cover the Jalen Reagor fantasy outlook for 2021. We will share where we think he will rank amongst all wide receivers in 2021. Should you buy, hold or sell? Will Jalen Reagor be more or less valuable in 2022? Do we think he is going to be a league winner, weekly starter, flex play, spot starter, dark horse or dart throw? Included is all of this as well as personal opinions of the 11 people that participated from the RotoHeat staff.
Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021: What is his Weekly Playability?
One person felt he would be a darkhorse, and one a weekly starter, but others were comfortable with him as a spot starter or dart throw. “High-end WR3 is where I see Reagor finishing” was a consensus sort of comment for those feeling he was a spot starter, while “I didn’t like him as a rookie, and I don’t see him getting the regular targets in his sophomore season to be more than a deep stash” was the sort of comments we had from those feeling he was a spot starter.
Weekly Starter: 1
Spot Starter: 5
Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021: More, Same or Less Valuable in 2022 Dynasty Offseason?
Most of the team felt that Jalen will have a higher ADP going into next year when compared to this year. He is currently the 191st player in Fantasy Pros PPR Draft ADP and the 69th wide receiver, so most of us do see him as a value. The RotoHeat team in general likes him more than the public, as he is our 49th wide receiver and 124th player overall in RotoHeat SF Dynasty Positional ADP.
One of those who think he will have a higher ADP next year had felt some of it had to do those around him, “with a healthy offensive line, a full offseason, and now a valid 2nd option at WR in newly added WR1 D. Smith, I see Reagor taking a leap forward out of the slot.”
One of those who felt he will be lower next year stated “I was luke warm on him as a rookie and he didn’t show me much of anything. I don’t see Jalen Hurts supporting 3 pass catchers and I would put Reagor firmly behind Smith and Goedert in Philly.”
Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021: Buy, Sell or Hold?
The buy/sell/hold proposition was about as evenly split as you can get, with buy holding the slimmest of margins. One believer who was buying stated “Great buy at his current price, but don’t expect a big season” and another echoed it with “I’m a Reagor truther, and I think he can still be a nice WR2/3 in fantasy. Buy buy buy.”
One of the sellers however had this to say “I don’t think there is a player that I am less excited about. His hands looked horrible, he’s on a bad team, and he has a QB that isn’t accurate. I’m not sure how a guy with stone hands AND an inaccurate QB can possibly succeed.” Clearly, he is a polarizing player right now
Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Wide Receivers?
No one on the team believes that Reagor would end up as a WR2 this season in 10 or 12 team leagues. This makes sense with the first question we went over in which most felt that he is best suited as a spot starter or dart throw this year. The general consensus was reflected in the comments from this analyst “The addition of D. Smith should only help Reagor’s output moving forward. Another year in the offense should also help his production.”
High: WR 25
Low: WR 49+
Jalen Reagor Fantasy Outlook 2021: Conclusion
Jalen Reagor is a polarizing second year wide receiver. Some have lost the faith after his lost first season, while some are still holding out hope that a (hopefully) improved offense will and more consistent QB play will lead to a second year improvement. Others are just ready to cut and run for anything of value already.
