The RotoHeat team sees Spiller as one of the first running backs to come off the board in the 2020 NFL draft. With his size and speed combination, Spiller comps out comparatively to NFL running backs like Ezekiel Elliott and Joe Mixon, at 6-feet plus and around 4.5-4.6 speed.

Spiller is your prototypical three-down back, that displays very good vision as a runner and is patient attacking the hole. He runs with excellent power and is a load to bring down in the open field. He possesses good balance and the ability to easily run through arm tackles. As a receiver, Spiller was mainly used on quick-outs, wheel routes, and screens. He displayed good hands overall and can track the ball well.

Spiller lacks elite top-end speed but he does offer some short-area quickness to plant his foot in the ground and go. At times his patient approach has led to negative gains, and he has shown to struggle to make something out of nothing. Some members of the team felt that at times he fell victim to first contact too often.

The team does feel that Isiah Spiller is one of this year’s top running back prospects and he is a rookie running back that we see coming off the board in the second or third round of the 2022 NFL draft.
