It’s Week 4 and there are some players that have bounced back from a rough start and vice versa. Let’s dive into this week’s hot and cold players to see who is starting to produce and who is heading in the wrong direction.

Hot Players

Cordarrelle Patterson

Patterson may be the best athlete every time he steps on the football field. He plays everything from kick returner to running back and is productive time and time again. The backup “running back” caught 3 TDs Sunday and completely dominated. Though Patterson sees limited rushes every week, his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield or lined up as a WR had made him become a very valuable fantasy asset to plug in at the flex position so far this season. He is currently on a 3 game streak of putting up over 16 fantasy points.

Saquon Barkley

Owners that held strong or those that traded for Saquon after his rough start are finally reaping the rewards. He had that big break out game we all were waiting for with a 2 TD performance and is becoming more involved in the passing game. With 2 straight weeks of over 20 fantasy points, we can expect to see the same volume Barkley saw his rookie year. He is by far the best offensive weapon on the Giants and will benefit from Daniel Jones ability to run the ball with defenses having to worry about both in that backfield. Saquon has crawled into the top 10, so look for him to keep working his way up to top 5.

Ezekiel Elliot

It’s no mystery that Dallas is a force to be reckoned with this season. The comeback of Dak Prescott has helped Elliot tremendously. We saw in the first few games last year when Dak was healthy the Zeke was looking to be a top 3 back. Then that team became littered with injuries. The Cowboys are back to full strength offensively and are taking a balanced approach this season similar to what we saw in Zeke and Dak’s rookie year. With Zeke continuing to get touches and getting the bulk of the goal-line work, theres no reason to think he isn’t back into prime form. As long as Dallas continues to feed Zeke, he is going to be a top-tier fantasy back.

Cold Players

Allen Robinson

The struggles for Allen Robinson continue for fantasy owners. The Bears were able to get on track this week and leaned heavily on the run game. When Fields dropped back to air it out, Darnel Mooney seemed to be his favorite target. Owners will have to hope to see the Bears get into a shootout to see Robinson put up numbers like he used to. He is quickly losing the trust of his fantasy owners with his average barely being above 8 points. We can only hope the talented wideout can get more work with the young and promising QB.

Tyler Lockett

Tyler Lockett started the season off red hot and has disappointed 2 weeks in a row now. We have seen him do this for a couple years now where he seems to be a typical boom or bust player. He is the type of asset that can win you weeks, but he can also lose them for you as well. With DK Metcalf now getting more targets, we can assume Tyler Lockett is going to continue to be second fiddle to the athletic freak that is Metcalf. Lockett still has to go in your lineups, but he continues to be a player with a low-floor but an extremely high ceiling.

Miles Sanders

Miles Sanders has become a huge disappointment this year. Most owners drafted Sanders as RB2, and he has at best produced low-end flex numbers this year. The Eagles are implementing Kenneth Gainwell more and more into their offense, especially in the pass game. Sanders’ touches diminish greatly when the Eagles are behind, which they may be a lot this season. I recommend trying to sell Sanders and replace him with someone more consistent it your lineup. He is on a 3 game streak of under 10 fantasy points.
