Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021

In this article, we are going to cover the Bryan Edwards fantasy outlook for 2021. We will share where we think he will rank amongst all wide receivers in 2021. Should you buy, hold or sell? Will Bryan Edwards be more or less valuable in 2022? Do we think he is going to be a league winner, weekly starter, flex play, spot starter, dark horse or dart throw? Included is all of this as well as personal opinions of the nine people that participated from the RotoHeat staff.

Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021: What Is His Weekly Playability?

Darkhorse slightly won amongst the nine of us over Spot Starter in terms of how we viewed him as a weekly player this season. One of those that voted for Darkhorse said “There is a possibility that he is healthy and can provide some numbers in an offense looking for guys not named ‘Waller’ to catch the ball.” Another said “Edwards has a ton of talent and could be the dude outside of Waller if given the chance. There are plenty of other WR mouths to feed, however, so don’t hold your breath.”

Of the three that felt he was a spot starter, one of them summed up their overall comments with “I don’t know that Edwards will take the full leap, but this is a kid that I love his talent. Injuries plus the weird 2020 [offseason] derailed most rookie WRs, so I am not holding it against any of them.”

Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021: More, Same or Less Valuable in 2022 Dynasty Offseason?

The RotoHeat team in general is higher on Edwards (RotoHeat SF Dynasty WR 68) than the public (Fantasy Pros PPR WR 86), but generally speaking he will be drafted even higher next year. The general belief is that he is still loaded with talent, and that after a wasted 2020 for many players, Edwards will be taking a step forward this year to solidify himself as a target in this Raiders offense.

Higher: 5
Same: 2
Lower: 2

One of the two that felt that his ADP will be lower next year just does not believe in him. They said, “After the lack of involvement in his rookie season, I have very little faith in Edwards becoming a fantasy relevant player.”

Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021: Buy, Sell or Hold?

There were more buyers than sellers of Edwards on the team, although holding/selling had slightly more than buyers. Of those buying the overall feelings were summed up with this “Too much talent not to succeed. Waller was the target monster last year, but I think targets get more evenly distributed this year” and “I expect him to be better, but may take until his 3rd year to put it all together. Buy now…”

Buy: 4
Hold: 3
Sell: 2

One of the team members who is holding said “Still not sold on Edwards. He has to show something this season or the hype may finally die down. If he struggles, he is a buy due to his potential.” One of the two selling, however, warned “He seems to be hurt every season and I am surprised that people still value him. Sell while you can.”

Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021: Where Will He Rank vs. All Wide Receivers?

One analyst had Edwards in the 25-31 range, and one had him in the 32-36 range; the rest felt he would be end lower this season. The general belief of the team was that Edwards would take a step forward this year, but likely not have a breakout year until next year. As one member put it “I like the player, still waiting to see how this wide receiver corps shakes out…if healthy and on the same page with Carr, he can be a really nice buy or hold if you have him. In redraft I think WR3/4 is about where he will be this year.”

High: WR 25
Low: WR 49+

Bryan Edwards Fantasy Outlook 2021: Conclusion

Overall, Edwards is not someone we feel will have a great year this year, but should improve over his lost 2020. Whether or not he makes it to be a top wide receiver in the future is hotly debated on the team, but we still feel that he has a good chance to.
