2021 NFL Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire Adds
We are getting down towards the end of the regular season at what feeling like an alarming pace. The longer season hasn’t felt longer, but it has been a grind with all of the injuries and byes later in the season. Hopefully you are in, or will be soon, the playoffs for your league.
As the teams that are contending become fewer and fewer, the number of spot and injury replacement starters goes down, but if you need someone we will continue to have players for you to consider. At least this is the last week of bye weeks for the season!
Bye Week Teams: Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles
Remember to always check your lineups before games start for late-breaking injuries and unexpected starters, and you can find the RotoHeat IDP scoring here.
2021 NFL Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Linebackers

Nick Vigil, Linebacker, Minnesota Vikings
Ownership: Sleeper %, Yahoo 4%
Vigil stepped in again with Anthony Barr out and played well. This is the fourth good game he has had this year, and each of the games has coincided with Barr being out and/or leaving early. In Week 13 he had 9 solos and 6 assists on a 100% snap share against Detroit. The Steelers face the Vikings in Week 14 and the Steelers give up the 14th most points to opposing linebackers on the year, so it is a decent matchup if either Eric Kendricks and/or/ Anthony Barr are out.
Divine Deablo, Linebacker, Las Vegas Raiders
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%
The 80th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the converted safety saw the most playing time of his career in Week 13. His previous high was Week 3 when he saw 22 snaps (27% of the defense that day). In Week 13 he played 38 snaps (57%) with injuries Denzel Perryman, Corey Littleton, Patrick Onwuasor and Nick Kwiatkoski. This is a “check the injury report” type of player, as there is a shot he barely plays, or does not play, in Week 14. If Littleton and Perryman specifically miss the coming week’s game against the Chiefs, look at Deablo as a decent add.
Krys Barnes, Linebacker, Green Bay Packers
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 1%
The Packers are coming off a bye and Barnes has been the second inside linebacker banana to De’Vondre Campbell since Campbell came over. Barnes has had good games though and the Bears (11th in points allowed to opposing linebackers) are a good matchup. Barnes only has a 56% snap share since Week 9 but has had at least 5 combined tackles in each game, including two games with 7 solos.
2021 NFL Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Backs

Elijah Riley, Safety, New York Jets
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%
Elijah was an undrafted free agent out of Army after the 2020 NFL Draft. He saw his first snaps on defense this year for the Jets in Week after after signing with them on November 9th. In three weeks of action so far this year he has the following:
Week 11: 89%, 2 solos, 4 assists
Week 12: 79%, 3 solos, 2 assists, 1 TFL
Week 13: 89%, 6 solos, 1 assist, 2 sack
He has served as the second safety for most of these three games and has been worth of a start in two. New Orleans (Week 14, 32nd in points to opposing safetys) and Tampa Bay (Week 17, 31st) are not great matchups, but Miami (Week 15, 15th) and Jacksonville (Week 16, 8th) are decent ones.
Ryan Neal, Safety, Seattle Seahawks
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%
As he has in prior years, Ryan Neal came in when Jamal Adams got hurt (shoulder injury) and did alright; 1 solo and 4 assists on a 57% snap share. The extend of his injury is yet unknown, but it is the same shoulder that he injured last year and had season-ending surgery on. Ryan has performed well in place of Jamal before and is a fine add if you need depth help. The Texans play Seattle in Week 14, and Houston gives up the 18th most points to opposing safetys on the year.
Bashaud Breeland, Cornerback, Minnesota Vikings
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%
Bashaud has not been anything special this year for a cornerback, but had a great Week 13 against the Lions (27th in points to opposing cornerbacks); he ended with 6 solos, 3 assists, 1 PD, and 1 fumble forced. Even if Patrick Peterson returns Breeland should maintain a high snap share as their CB2, like he has been most of this season. Week 14 brings the Steelers, who give up the 3rd most points to opposing cornerbacks on the year.
2021 NFL Week 14 IDP Waiver Wire Adds: Defensive Linemen

Jaelan Phillips, Linebacker/Edge/Defensive End, Miami Dolphins
Ownership: Sleeper 2%, Yahoo 11%
Phillips won’t be available in dynasty leagues but he is still availale in many redraft leagues. With the Dolphins on bye this week it is a great time to add him as a stash for upcoming games against the Jets, Saints and Titans the next three weeks. As opposed to hitting the rookie wall, Jaelan has really found his groove, with at least a half sack in the past five games, and one or more sacks in each of the past three. His playing time has been relatively stable from Week 9 through 13 (high of 64% and low of 45%, and a 55% average). His designation varies based on league, but if available he could end up being a high end late season IDP add.
Steven Means, Defensive End, Atlanta Falcons
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 0%
After missing Weeks 10, 11 and 12 Steven returned in Week 13 and had 3 solos and 2 assists on 61% of snaps. He has a 72% snap share on the year in games he’s played. This was one of his best games of the year in a bad matchup against Tampa Bay (30th in points allowed to defensive ends). This week he faces the Panthers who are first in points allowed to defensive ends.
DJ Jones, Defensive Tackle, San Francisco 49ers
Ownership: Sleeper 0%, Yahoo 1%
We mentione DJ in a prior week but he is appearing again. He is interior linemen #19 on the year, and if you are in DT only leagues he would be even higher. Without having much for name recgonition though he is still available in many leagues. In 7 out of 12 games this year he has had 3 or more combined tackles, and he has had at least 2 solos tackles in 8 out of 12 games. Week 14 brings the Bengals, who give up the third most points to opposing defensive tackles on the year. With a 52% snap share on the year, which leads 49ers defensive tackles, Jones is a great option this week.
