2021 NFL Draft Pick 80: Raiders Select Divine Deablo

With the 80th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Divine Deablo was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Divine started as a wide receiver, but switched to defensive back after one year. In four years as a defensive back he had 206 tackles (117 solo), 12.5 TFL, half a sack, 11 passes defended, six interceptions, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one touchdown.

Fantasy Implications

Divine is the second Raiders safety taken after Trevon Moehrig. Moehrig would seem to be the future free safety, while Divine is more suited to be a strong safety/linebacker type hybrid. He is a smart, quality tackler who doesn’t have the best quickness or agility. He reminds me more of a linebacker than a safety, but I do not see a lot of immediate potential with Jonathan Abram currently starting at strong safety.
