2021 NFL Draft Pick 43: Raiders Select Trevon Moehrig

With the 43rd pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Trevon Moehrig was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders.

Moehrig played as a true freshman at safety in 2018 for TCU, and during his three years he had 124 tackles (4.5 for a loss), 7 INT, 21 PD, 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. He was named to the 1st Team All Big 12 in 2019 and 2020.

Fantasy Implications

Another safety and another good spot. Moehrig was seen as the top first safety on the board. The Raiders certainly needed a long-term piece to pair with Johnathan Abram, as the returning Karl Joseph is not the answer. Moehrig should start for them and is in a good spot for fantasy relevance. All three of these guys ended up in great spots, and it will really be a matter of personal preference as to which goes first.
