2021 NFL Draft Pick 13: Los Angeles Chargers Select Rashawn Slater

With the 13th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Rashawn Slater was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Rashawn played in 38 games over three years at Northwestern after playing in his true freshman year. He made the All Big-10 Third Team after his sophomore year, and sat out the 2020 season before entering the NFL Draft.

Fantasy Implications

Oh boy. This is great news for Justin Herbert. He needed the extra protection, and the Chargers gave it to him. Although Slater won’t be catching the ball, he will help Justin Herbert stay upright and stay clean, which is going to help Herbert who has already shown signs of being a fantasy superstar.
It’s also a good sign for Austin Ekeler, who is getting a great blocker which will allow him to stay efficient.
