2021 NFL Draft Pick 157: Minnesota Vikings Select Ihmir Smith-Marsette

With the 157th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft, Ihmir Smith-Marsette was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings.

Ihmir Smith-Marsette spent 4 years at Iowa where he posted 110 receptions for 1,615 yards and 14 TDs. He was the 2018 Big Ten Return Specialist of the Year, which shows his potential to be an elite kick and punt returner in the NFL.

Fantasy Implications

I don’t think Ihmir Smith-Marsette won’t see the field much as a WR, but will have a great presence on special teams as a returner. He won’t be super fantasy relevant, but could become a starting WR for the Vikings if he shows enough skills as a returner.

He’s not someone who should be drafted in Rookie Drafts unless you want to take a flyer in the 4th round and hope he sees the field. He should belong on your waiver wire all of 2021.
